US Al premium slips on slack demand

The P1020 aluminium premium edged lower in the United States on Friday November 30, with sellers lowering offer levels in an effort to attract disinterested buyers.

Fastmarkets AMM’ assessed the P1020 duty-paid Midwest aluminium premium at 19-19.5 cents per lb on Friday, down from 19.25-19.75 cents per lb previously, where the premium had been since October 26. Some sales were communicated within the new range but spot trades were generally thin this week, which is typical for this time of year, sources said.
