Alufer ships 1mln tonnes of bauxite from Bel Air mine in 4 months - CEO

Alufer Mining has shipped more than 1 million tonnes of bauxite from its Bel Air project in Guinea and has several offtake contracts in place for 2019, chief executive officer Bernie Pryor told Fastmarkets MB.

The first bauxite shipment from Bel Air, where production started in the third quarter of this year, was sold to Aluminum Corp of China (Chalco) and arrived in China at the end of November.
