US structural tubing prices drop again as discounting intensifies

Prices for domestically produced structural tubing in the United States dropped for the 11th week since August after mills went the extra mile to entice orders before closing their books for 2018.

The largest US electric-resistance-welded producers lowered their prices by $20 per ton this week, and at least some of the smaller competitors were matching those discounts, according to market participants.
