Brazil's CBMM to increase ferro-niobium capacity by 50% by end-2020

Companhia Brasileira de Metalurgia e Mineração (CBMM), the world’s largest niobium producer, plans to increase its ferro-niobium capacity by 50% over the next two years, the company told Fastmarkets on Monday January 7.

The Brazilian group will invest $200 million in an expansion that is intended to reach an output capacity of 150,000 tonnes per year by the end of 2020, it explained.
