Soft demand pushes down export prices for Chinese wire rod

Export prices for wire rod out in China moved down over the past week due to weak overseas demand.

Fastmarkets MB's export price assessment for February/March shipments of Chinese chromium-added mesh-quality wire rod was $475-480 per tonne fob for the week ended Tuesday January 8, down $10 per tonne from a week earlier.
