China CRC, HDG export prices increase on low selling interest, stable domestic market

Export prices for Chinese cold-rolled coil and hot-dipped galvanized coil stopped falling during the past week amid sparse trading, low selling interest ahead of the Lunar New Year and largely steady domestic prices in the country.

Cold-rolled coil Fastmarkets MB’s weekly export price assessment for Chinese SPCC 1.0mm CRC was $520-525 per tonne fob China on Tuesday January 22, narrowing upward by $2 per tonne from $518-525 per tonne fob a week earlier. No sales of CRC were reported over the past week. One deal involving Chinese cold-rolled full-hard coil - an upstream product of CRC prior to annealing - was concluded at $515 per tonne cfr to Taiwan late last week.
