GLOBAL VANADIUM WRAP: Prices largely steady with slight increases on underlying tightness

Global vanadium prices were stable to slightly firmer in the week ended Friday February 1, underpinned by fundamental tightness albeit with many Chinese players already out for the new year holidays.

European vanadium prices firm as sellers see no pressure to destock  Chinese markets hold steady while market winds down for Lunar New Year  US ferro-vanadium price rises on deal done at higher level, although the market remains relatively quiet Vanadium prices were largely stable in Europe last week, amid relatively slower but still steady trade, as the market awaits direction from China when activity returns after the Lunar New Year break on February 4-10. Fastmarkets’ European ferro-vanadium price delivered duty-paid was unchanged week on week at $77-79.10 per kg on Friday.
