CHINA REBAR: Domestic prices keep rising on re-stocking demand

China’s domestic rebar prices maintained their upward trend on Friday February 22 with stockists looking to replenish their inventories.

Domestic  Eastern China (Shanghai): 3,720-3,760 yuan ($554-560) per tonne, up 20 yuan per tonne Northern China (Beijing): 3,730-3,750 yuan per tonne, up 30 yuan per tonne Some stockists were actively buying rebar to replenish inventories, which pushed up prices.    The gains in billet and futures prices offered additional support to the spot rebar market.
