US ferro-titanium prices still riding European shortage higher

Ferro-titanium prices in the United States rose for the fourth week in a row due to a European shortage for which there is no end in sight.

Meanwhile, the uptrend in prices reportedly is being perpetuated by scrap suppliers, which have elevated offering prices in light of the rallying European ferro-titanium prices.
Fastmarkets assessed the US price for ferro-titanium 68-72% at $2.45-2.65 per lb ex-warehouse, on Thursday March 21, up 4.1% from $2.40-2.50 per lb on March 14.
