MMG will declare force majeure on Las Bambas copper concentrate sales contracts

MMG will declare force majeure on copper concentrate sales contracts from the Las Bambas mine in Peru, the mining company said on Tuesday March 26 in a notice to the Hong Kong Exchange.

Roadblock protests by the local Fuerabamba community are disrupting the transport of personnel to and from the mine as well as the flow of goods, the company said. "Production at [the] site continues. However, following the suspension of personnel and inbound supply logistics, production is expected to be progressively [affected] from later this week....
