Seaborne iron ore concentrate, pellet prices mixed amid thin trading

Seaborne iron ore concentrate prices softened further and pellet prices strengthened a bit in the week ended Friday March 29. Trading remained inactive for both.

Concentrate The weekly MB 66% Fe Iron Ore Concentrate Index stood at $96.73 per tonne cfr China on Friday, down by $0.90 per tonne from a week earlier. The daily MB 65% Fe Iron Ore Index averaged $97 per tonne cfr China last week compared with $96.64 per tonne cfr China the previous week. For the calculation of the MBIOI-CO, judgment was applied to calculate a fixed-price equivalent for activity on a floating-price basis.
