Trades pick up for seaborne iron ore pellets, but concentrate still sluggish

Trading activity for iron ore pellets in the seaborne market appeared to pick up last week while that for concentrate remained relatively muted.

A number of transactions involving 64% Fe Jindal pellets took place at $117-120 per tonne cfr last week, market participants said. Offers for 64% Fe BRPL pellets were made at $120-121 per tonne cfr. The product was said to be tradable at about $118-119 per tonne cfr last week, compared with a transacted price of $117 per tonne cfr a week earlier, according to sources.
