CHINA REBAR: Domestic prices continue to move lower amid soft demand

China’s domestic rebar prices maintained their downward trend on Wednesday April 24 as buyers lowered procurement rates.

Domestic  Eastern China (Shanghai): 4,050-4,100 yuan ($604-610) per tonne, down 20-30 yuan per tonne  Northern China (Beijing): 3,950-4,000 yuan per tonne, down 40-50 yuan per tonne Rebar futures dropped further on Wednesday amid lower buying interest in the spot market, sources said.   Many buyers postponed bookings as they waited for prices to fall further, a trader in Shanghai said.
