Trading activity rises after drop in export prices for Chinese plate

Trading activity in China’s export market for plate picked up over the past week after prices softened.

The Fastmarkets MB export price assessment for July shipments of Chinese commercial-grade, chromium-added plate was $520-530 per tonne fob for the week ended Tuesday May 28, down $5-10 per tonne from $530-535 per tonne fob a week earlier.
