China’s wire rod export prices fall but trading activity picks up

China’s export prices for wire rod dropped over the past week on domestic losses, though trading activity appeared to have picked up in response to the decline.

The Fastmarkets MB export price assessment for July/August shipments of Chinese chromium-added mesh-quality wire rod was $510 per tonne fob on Tuesday June 11, down $5-10 per tonne from $515-520 per tonne fob a week earlier.
