Seaborne iron ore concentrate, pellet prices rise amid general upturn

Seaborne iron ore concentrate and pellet prices rose last week in line with a general uptrend in the market for the steelmaking raw material.

The daily Fastmarkets MB 65% Fe Iron Ore Index averaged $120.98 per tonne cfr China last week, compared with an average of $115.03 per tonne cfr China a week earlier. The price movements were based on the visible market activity detailed below, which was included in the calculation of the indices according to published methodology.
