China’s plate exporters cut prices on weakening domestic market

Chinese plate exporters cut their prices over the past week amid pressure from weakening demand in China's domestic market.

The Fastmarkets MB export price assessment for August shipments of commercial-grade, chromium-added plate was $495-505 per tonne fob for the week ended Tuesday June 18, down $10-15 per tonne from $510-515 per tonne fob a week earlier.
Several deals involving A36-grade products from a mill in northern China were heard to have been concluded at $510-515 per tonne cfr last week, for shipment to Vietnam and the Philippines.
