US structural tubing prices dive, chasing HRC index lower

Prices for domestically produced structural tubing in the United States declined for the eighth consecutive week after mill offers were adjusted yet again to reflect the downward trend in substrate costs.

Fastmarkets AMM's weekly pricing assessment for US domestic A500 hollow structural sections (HSS) dropped to a new range of $860-880 per ton ($43-44 per hundredweight) fob mill on Thursday June 20, down by 2.8% from the previous range of $870-920 per ton ($43.50-46 per cwt).
