US lowers anti-dumping duty on wire rod from Mexico’s Deacero

The United States Commerce Department has lowered an anti-dumping duty on wire rod imports from Mexican steelmaker Deacero.

These imports will now incur a 3.9% duty, instead of a preliminary rate of 17.65%, according to a document released by the department last week.

This final determination followed a review of imports of carbon and certain types of alloyed wire rod from Mexico, which determined an average dumping margin of 3.94% for Deacero’s products.
