GTA cuts tungsten conc, APT July price forecasts amid poor downstream demand

China’s Ganzhou Tungsten Association (GTA) has cut its tungsten price forecasts for July in response to poor market sentiment and the lack of buying appetite which has been seen in the spot market over the past month.

The GTA forecast an average price of 67,000 yuan ($9,717.8) per tonne for black tungsten concentrate, basis 55% WO3, in July, compared with a forecasted average price of 90,000 yuan per tonne made in June.
