Glencore slashes Katanga cobalt production guidance

Trader-miner Glencore has cut the cobalt production guidance at its Katanga project in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) for 2019 by 46% to 14,000 tonnes, it said on Wednesday August 7.

The company said in April that it expected its 2019 Katanga cobalt production to be lower than the guidance of 26,000 tonnes it provided at the beginning of the year.
