TURKEY FLAT STEEL: Prices still falling as mills await recovery in demand

Turkish prices for hot-rolled coil and cold-rolled coil (HRC, CRC) went down over the week ended Friday September 6, with demand remaining soft, sources have told Fastmarkets.

Buyers wanted to wait to see when prices would reach a bottom before placing orders, while end-user demand was still subdued because of the falling prices. HRC exports Turkey’s export market price for HRC decreased this week on lower offers, sources said.
