CIS PIG IRON: Prices up on higher sales

Export pig iron prices from the Commonwealth of Independent States have increased during the week ended Thursday November 14, on resumed sales to the United States - the largest market - at higher levels, sources told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for high-manganese pig iron, export, fob main port Black Sea, CIS, was $295-305 per tonne on November 14, up from $288-295 per tonne a week ago.
Several sales of Russia-origin pig iron have been done during the week to the US at around $300-305 per tonne fob Black Sea. Previous sales were done in mid-October at around $285 per tonne fob Black Sea.
