US structural tubing prices up again; market hazy on mill price increases

Prices for domestically produced structural tubing in the United States rose for the third week in a row after tube mills announced a second round of price increases, although sources were unclear on how much of that increase would be accepted by the market.

Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for steel hollow sections ASTM A500 Grade B domestic, fob mill US rose to a new range of $860-900 per short ton ($43-45 per hundredweight) on Thursday November 14, up from $840-880 per ton on November 7.
