GLOBAL NICKEL WRAP: US briquette premium rises; all other regions stable

The nickel briquette premium in the United States rose for the second consecutive week amid enlivened spot activity in the week to Tuesday November 19, while premiums for all other grades in China and Europe remained unchanged on slack demand.

Another uptick for US briquettes
In the US, the nickel briquette premium rose 1 cent on the high end in the week to Tuesday November 19, with greater spot business reported at this level despite a generally bearish outlook from participants.
Fastmarkets’ assessment of the nickel briquette premium, delivered Midwest US was 20-24 cents per lb on November 19, up from 20-23 on November 12.
