CIS PIG IRON: Market stable on low trading activity

The pig iron export market for the Commonwealth of Independent States was stable on low trading activity during the week ended Thursday November 21, Fastmarkets has heard.

Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for high-manganese pig iron, export, fob main port Black Sea, CIS, was $295-305 per tonne on November 21, unchanged week on week.
“There is not much material to trade from the CIS [because suppliers have already largely sold out until the end of the year], and those who have some tonnage have not agreed a price with buyers,” one trader told Fastmarkets.
