China’s CRC, HDG export prices continue to rebound amid strong domestic demand

Export prices for Chinese cold-rolled coil and hot-dipped galvanized coil remained on an upward trend during the week to Tuesday November 26 amid sustained increases in domestic prices, market sources said.

Domestic prices received a boost from restocking activity, which in turn provided support to export prices, a trader in Shanghai said.
Market participants said that suppliers have continued to focus on the domestic market because of stable demand and better prices.
The recovery in upstream hot-rolled coil prices was another factor that provided an uplift to downstream products such as CRC and HDG, sources said.
