NORTHERN EUROPE REBAR: Prices stable, next price move unclear

The price of rebar in the Northern Europe domestic market was unchanged this week with opinions differing over whether prices will move up or down before the end of the year, sources told Fastmarkets on Wednesday November 27.

Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for steel reinforcing bar (rebar), domestic, delivered Northern Europe, was €475-485 ($523-534) per tonne on Wednesday, unchanged week-on-week.
After decreasing throughout much of the second and third quarters of this year, prices had moved higher in late-October and early-November on higher ferrous scrap costs.
