NEWSBREAK: SHFE subsidiary will launch onshore domestic China copper contract in H1 2020

The Shanghai International Energy Exchange (INE) will launch an onshore domestic copper contract in China in the first half of 2020, broker BANDS Financial told clients.

The contract will be open both to domestic and to foreign participants using the overseas intermediary (OI) route into the market.
Its specification will be based on material in bonded warehouses rather than duty-paid material, BANDS said in a note on Friday November 29.
