Major Chinese stainless steel mills cut their January ferro-chrome tender prices

China’s Tsingshan Group, Baosteel and Taiyuan Iron & Steel (Tisco) all cut their high-carbon ferro-chrome tender prices for January against a backdrop of persistent oversupply in the market.

Tisco slashed its tender price on Friday December 27 to 5,600 yuan ($800), down 900 yuan from 6,500 yuan over the fourth quarter of this year.
