Jiangxi Tungsten production 'still on hold due to coronavirus measures'

The output of tungsten material from Jiangxi Tungsten Holding Group remained on hold on Monday February 10 because of the measures being taken to contain the outbreak of the Wuhan coronavirus, a source at the company has told Fastmarkets.

At present, production is at a halt at all of the company’s mines, smelters and cemented carbide plants, the source said. Jiangxi Tungsten is one of the largest tungsten producers in China.
Operations were originally expected to resume on February 10 after several local provincial governments had extended the Chinese lunar new year holiday for an extra week.

But the local government in Jiangxi province has not approved the restart...
