EUROPE BEAMS: Prices widen across region as market weakens

The prices of steel H-beams in both Northern and Southern Europe went down on Wednesday February 12 due to a decrease in feedstock costs, sources have told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for steel beams, domestic, delivered Northern Europe, was €530-570 per tonne ($578-622) on Wednesday, widening downward by €10 per tonne from €540-570 per tonne a week earlier.
One market participant told Fastmarkets that the H-beam market in Europe had declined by €10 per tonne week on week.
