CHINA REBAR: Domestic prices flat but demand slowly recovering

China’s domestic rebar prices were unchanged on Tuesday February 18, though downstream demand is said to be slowly recovering.

Eastern China (Shanghai): 3,370-3,400 yuan ($483-487) per tonne, unchanged 
Northern China (Beijing): 3,370-3,400 yuan per tonne, unchanged

There was a gradual increase in demand for rebar from end users this week, but sellers did not increase their offer prices because demand still remains much weaker than usual, market sources...
