CHINA REBAR: Weak demand pressures some sellers to cut prices

China’s domestic rebar demand remained soft on Wednesday February 19, which led some traders to cut prices to generate more sales.

Eastern China (Shanghai): 3,370-3,400 yuan ($482-486) per tonne, unchanged
Northern China (Beijing): 3,350-3,380 yuan per tonne, down 20 yuan per tonne
While most traders kept their prices flat, some of them undercut their peers to squeeze a few more orders out of the market, sources said.
