Teck says mining assets continue to operate, including Antamina in Peru

Teck Resources said that all its mining operations continue to operate, including its Antamina copper and zinc mine, although the company is closely monitoring the ongoing novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) situation and will adapt as necessary.

Antamina, in which Teck has a 22.5% stake, is the world's third-largest zinc mine and is located in the Andes, north of Lima, Peru.
“All operations continue to operate at this time. Teck is closely monitoring this evolving situation, with our first priority being the health and safety of employees,” the Canada-headquartered company told Fastmarkets.
