Tshipi declares 256mln rand dividend in 'challenging' manganese market

South African manganese miner Tshipi has declared a dividend of 256 million rand ($15.95 million) amid “challenging times for the market,” its owner, Jupiter Mines, said on Tuesday March 17.

The dividend relates to Tshipi’s financial second half of 2020, in which Jupiter received A$3.6 million ($2.17 million) in marketing profits from the project.
Jupiter said Tshipi had remained profitable throughout the half-year despite challenging market conditions.
