TURKEY LONG STEEL: Prices up on weaker lira, market quiet amid coronavirus fears

Domestic prices for long steel products in Turkey have increased over the past seven days due to the country’s weaker lira, but demand was very poor because of the 2019-nCoV coronavirus pandemic, sources said on Thursday March 19.

The Turkish lira started to weaken rapidly against the US dollar when the first coronavirus case was confirmed in the Middle Eastern country on March 11.
