Coronavirus pandemic keeps Chinese wire rod exports sparse

China’s wire rod export market remained inactive over the past week despite sellers lowering their offers, with demand dampened by the spread of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) across the world.

Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for April/May shipments of steel wire rod (mesh quality) export, fob China main port was $450-455 per tonne on Tuesday, down $5 per tonne from a week earlier.
