Hebei Steel raises April silico-manganese tender price by $99/t

Hebei Steel, China’s second-largest steel mill, has announced its purchase price for April-delivery silico-manganese at 6,600 yuan ($934) per tonne, market participants told Fastmarkets on Thursday April 9.

The latest price is 700 yuan per tonne, or 11.9%, higher than the March-delivery price of 5,900 yuan per tonne.
The price from Hebei Steel, which is for cargoes delivered to warehouse, includes value-added tax and should be paid on acceptance, according to market sources.
On April 7, the first working day in the week after the country’s three-day official holiday for Tomb Sweeping Day, Hebei Steel announced its plan to purchase 18,300 tonnes of silico-manganese for delivery in April, down by 1,380 tonnes from 19,680 tonnes purchased in March.
