Ferro-vanadium prices supported on tightening prompt availability, active spot market

Ferro-vanadium prices in Europe held up at higher levels last week on an active spot market and tightening prompt availability.

Fastmarkets assessed the ferro-vanadium basis 78% V min, 1st grade, ddp Western Europe price at $25.25-26.25 per lb on Friday April 24, unchanged from the mid-week assessment when prices had moved to that level from $25.25-26 per lb on April 17. The market is now trading at its highest since the beginning of March.
