China’s wire rod export offers rise despite weak demand

Chinese steel mills raised their export offers for wire rod over the past week despite overseas demand being soft.

Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for June/July shipments of steel wire rod (mesh quality) export, fob China main port, was $440-445 per tonne on Tuesday May 19, up by $15-20 per tonne from a week earlier.
