CHINA REBAR: Domestic prices drop further following dip in iron ore

China’s domestic rebar prices continued to fall on Wednesday May 27 in response to a weaker iron ore market.

Domestic 
Eastern China (Shanghai): 3,500-3,530 yuan ($489-493) per tonne, down by 20 yuan per tonne
Fastmarkets’ calculation for the iron ore 62% Fe fines, cfr Qingdao, index was $95.28 per tonne on May 26, down by $3.08 per tonne from the year’s high of $98.36 per tonne on May 19.
