China’s CRC, HDG export prices surge on higher iron ore costs, HRC prices

Export prices for Chinese cold-rolled coil and hot-dipped galvanized coil increased over the past week, tracking gains in the iron ore and upstream hot-rolled coil markets, sources said on Tuesday June 2.

Iron ore prices climbed above $100 per tonne for the first time this year on May 29, buoyed by concerns over reduced supplies from Brazil, which subsequently boosted prices for finished steel products, including HRC
