CIS PIG IRON: Market up on new sales to US, China

The market for pig iron exports from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) rose again on new sales to the largest outlets – the United States and China - during the week ended Thursday June 4.

Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for high-manganese pig iron, export, fob main port Black Sea, CIS, was $294-307 per tonne on June 4, widening from $295-300 per tonne a week earlier.

A sale of Ukraine-origin pig iron was done at $312 per tonne cfr to the US, equivalent to around $294 per tonne fob Black Sea. That was up from latest sales to the same...
