  • European, US lithium market fell amid lackluster demand.

China’s domestic battery-grade lithium spot prices fell to new annual lows this week after suppliers struggled to find buyers in a weak downstream market. The moves down in both the lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide prices ended two weeks of stability.
Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for lithium carbonate, 99.5% Li2CO3 min, battery grade, spot price range exw domestic China was 40,000-43,000 yuan ($5,619-6,040) per tonne on Thursday, down from 41,000-44,000 yuan per tonne in the previous week.
