APT demand struggles to recover but prices approaching a floor

Demand for ammonium paratungstate (APT) in Europe and the United States is still struggling to recover from the effects of Covid-19 but prices might be approaching a floor, market sources told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets’ price assessment for APT, 88.5% WO3 min, Europe, cif Rotterdam and Baltimore duty-free was last assessed at $205-215 per mtu on Friday July 3 - unchanged for a third consecutive week.
The APT market in Europe faced losses over June when prices fell to their lowest since October 2019 while buying appetite outside of China remained weak, sources said.
