China’s GTA announces lower tungsten concentrate, APT price forecasts for July

China’s Ganzhou Tungsten Association (GTA) has lowered both its tungsten concentrate and ammonium paratungstate (APT) price forecasts for July.

The association expects APT prices to average 121,000 yuan ($17,254) per tonne in July, a decline of 1,000 yuan per tonne from an average price of 122,000 yuan per tonne in June.
Sources told Fastmarkets that the lower forecast price reflects the current stalemate in China’s spot APT market.
