CIS PIG IRON: Market stable on renewed sales to traditional outlets

The decline in pig iron exports from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) stopped during the week ended Thursday July 9 on resumed sales to the traditional outlets of the United States and Italy.

Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for high-manganese pig iron, export, fob main port Black Sea, CIS, was $308-310 per tonne on July 9, narrowing upward from $305-310 per tonne a week before, after a softening two weeks earlier.
