Africa, Middle East leads recovery in manganese ore production in June

Global manganese ore production soared by 15% month on month in June due to a continued ramp-up of output after Covid-19 restrictions on activity started to ease, the latest data from the International Manganese Institute (IMnI) shows.

The increase in production was led by Africa and the Middle East from where supply in June increased by 18% against May volumes.
Gabon, Morocco Namibia, South Africa and Iran all registered higher output.
