TURKEY LONG STEEL EXPORTS: Higher prices supported by rising scrap costs, improving demand

The Turkish rebar and wire rod export prices have increased with strengthening demand over the past week amid rising imported scrap costs, sources said on Thursday September 10.

Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for steel reinforcing bar (rebar), export, fob main port Turkey, was $455-465 per tonne on Thursday, up from $440-450 per tonne of last week.
Turkish steel mills increased their rebar export offers to $455-470 per tonne fob on actual-weight basis in response to rising scrap costs.
